The players are wolverines, trying to rescue a baby wolverine from the swamp vulture! The adult Gulos are distracted by the swamp vulture's vulture eggs--so the baby wolverine will have to wait to be rescued. The vulture has protected itself by constructing an "egg alarm", which will be set off if the Gulos get too close!

A wooden bowl is filled with coloured swamp vulture eggs. A thin stick with an egg on the top is placed into this bowl, standing straight up. So, as the eggs are removed, there becomes an increasing risk of having this stick with the egg on the top, topple!

Throughout the game, players endeavour to remove eggs of a certain colour, advancing their Gulo to a tile of that colour and closer to the baby Gulo they want to rescue. If a player topples the alarm (the stick with the egg on top) or knocks any eggs out of the bowl, his Gulo moves backwards. First player to rescue the baby Gulo, wins!

8.5 "Visitor Review" by Gregg Monteith

This is a great game, particularly because my eldere daughter (6) and even my younger daughter (when she wants to play, she is 3) are quite competitive with me and my wife. The reason is that their smaller fingers give them an edge in scooping the eggs, and the minimal strategy means that the game is quite approachable. Highly recommend for full family play.
