This is a nice little game!

Having played a lot of new games, I am usually fairly dubious when I try something new. This one was one of the most pleasant surprises in many years.

While the the mechanics aren't anything earth-shakingly new, the play is very intense with a lot of options each turn.

One of my all-time favourites is El Grande and this felt like a remote cousin to the game, if not in exact gameplay, in the subtle territory domination, tensions and fun the game brought!
